BAsics Read-In

Dear Friends,

In honor of the publication of the exciting new book, Basics from the talks and writings of Bob Avakian, and in the spirit of the Yippies, Hippies, Hipsters and the likes of Phil Ochs, I will be hosting a Read-In on April 6th in Washington Square Park to send a message to Washington Square Park, students, artists and anyone listening that Basics has arrived and you gotta read it! You can't change the world if you don't know the Basics. So- READ THIS BOOK!!!

This will be done through a colorful scene in which from 9am to 9pm on Wednesday April 6th one and all are invited to come and read this book. Have a seat, pull up a chair or lay down a blanket and get into Basics! People will write their comments in a guest book, and some may want to get up on their chair and read a quote or two out loud to share it with all of Greenwich Village.

Then everyone can get a copy for themselves, more for their friends, and get tickets for April 11th in Harlem—On The Occasion of the Publication of BAsics: A Celebration of Revolution and the Vision of A New World.

If you are excited about BAsics, if you're a long time revolutionary or just finding out about this for the first time, join in the BAsics Read-In on April 6th to help get out this book! Come for a half hour or come for the day. People are needed to get out postcards and invite people in to the read-in, sell books and tickets, and read quotes, chat with students and others who stop by, and just hang out and read the book!
